Kathy Whitehead, Artist
Art has always been an important part of my life. Since I was a child I always experienced a great deal of relief and self-worth through the gift of being able to paint and express my insight, emotions and opinions through art. I paint with true passion and energy. My strong, true-color paint brush and pallete knife techniques bring a certain movement and emotion to the canvas. My greatest artistic influences are Vincent Van Gogh, Monet, Renior, Degas. Their art will forever live in my heart and soul.
Raised in Danbury, CT, United States, I am currently a San Diego, CA resident. My art is held in private collections in the US and Europe. I attended Western Connecticut State University, Wooster Art School and studied privately with the late artist William Dam from New York. In addition to painting I have also been a professional Graphic Designer and Art Director in advertising and marketing for over 20 years.
